Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated 4 October 2026

Peoplume is billed in advance, per active employee, at $4 per month with a 10-seat minimum. This page says what happens when you stop, and when money comes back.

1. Free trial

Every company starts with a 14-day free trial. No card is needed to start it and nothing is charged when it ends — the account simply becomes read-only until you choose to subscribe. Nothing is deleted, and every export keeps working, so a trial that does not convert costs you nothing and loses you nothing.

2. Cancelling

Cancel at any time from Billing inside the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: your data and every feature stay available until that date, and no further payment is taken.

Nothing is deleted when you cancel. You keep access to export everything — CSV per screen, a full archive, or the API. How long data is kept afterwards is on the privacy page.

3. Refunds

Subscriptions are billed in advance for the period you choose, monthly or yearly. Because cancelling always runs to the end of the paid period, we do not routinely refund unused time on that period — you keep what you paid for instead of handing it back.

We refund in full where:

  • you were charged after cancelling;
  • you were charged more than once for the same period;
  • Peoplume was materially unavailable for a sustained part of the period;
  • you are within 14 days of the first payment on a yearly subscription; or
  • consumer law where you are gives you a right to one, which overrides anything on this page.

4. How to ask

Email [email protected] with your company name and the charge in question. We aim to reply within two business days and, where a refund is due, to have it issued within ten.

Payments are taken by Paddle as our merchant of record, so a refund is returned by Paddle to the original payment method and may appear on your statement under Paddle’s name rather than ours. You can also raise a refund request with Paddle directly.

5. Changing size or plan

There is one plan, so there is nothing to upgrade to. Your seat count follows your active employees: add people and the next payment is larger, and someone who leaves stops counting from the period after they go. We do not charge mid-period for a seat added today, and we do not refund mid-period for one removed.

6. Paddle's terms sit alongside this page

Paddle is the merchant of record: it sells to you, takes the payment, charges any tax due where you are and issues the invoice. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Paddle’s own buyer terms.

Where those give you a broader refund right than this page does, that right applies. This page cannot narrow them and does not try to. You can raise a refund directly with Paddle as well as with us, and refunds are returned by Paddle to the original payment method — so they may appear on your statement under Paddle’s name rather than ours.

7. If we end it

If we stop providing Peoplume to you for a reason that is not your breach of the terms, we refund the unused part of the period you have paid for. That is the one case where unused time is returned as a matter of course.
